In 2019, Adaku invited to the first tasting experience. At the Grüntal restaurant in Zurich, she served a six-course menu where she fused classic West African recipes from her repertoire with modern cooking techniques. For the Zurich audience, she opened her cooking pots for the first time and served a completely new experience.

EATING WESTAFRICAN

After years of experiencing West African food culture, the first result emerged in 2017. Together with chefs from different parts of West Africa, a cookbook was created. It contains classic recipes from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Gambia, Senegal and Sierra Leone. The foundation for Adaku - West African Cuisine was laid.

UCHE CHOP BAR

For three weeks in late summer 2023, Adaku's family recipes were prepared by two top chefs and served by a fantastic team in a unique atmosphere with eight tonnes of sand underfoot. The matching drinks were created by Alexandre Werren and an exhibition of paintings by Keshia Leconte adorned the room. The UCHE CHOP BAR was a replacement event for the UCHE EXPERIENCE, as this had to be postponed due to rejected visa applications.
